Organizational context and job purpose:

The Olefins & Polymers USA division of INEOS USA LLC (O&P) ranks among North America's largest producers of olefins and polyolefins. Within this division, the Pipeline Supply Organization (PSO) manages the Stratton Ridge salt dome storage facility, the Hobbs Fractionation Complex (HFC), and over 500 miles of pipelines in South Texas. The Hobbs Fractionation Complex separates Y-Grade NGLs and produces C2s, C3s, and C4+, playing a crucial role in the CBW supply portfolio. The Stratton Ridge salt dome storage facility stores various feedstocks and products, integrating with pipeline systems for efficient transport and distribution.

How the Role Fits In:

The INEOS Pipeline Supply Organization has an opening for an Inspector in the Integrity department. This role maintains relationships with various units to perform daily inspection and maintenance activities, outlined in the Quality Manual. The Inspector services all three areas of PSO: Hobbs fractionator, Stratton Ridge cavern site, and over 500 miles of piping. The position reports directly to the Integrity Manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. SHE Stewardship

• Understand and implement the INEOS 20 Principles and cascade this understanding throughout the work group.
• Lead by example, ensuring compliance with SHE policies and procedures.
• Promote safe behavior through participation in SHE activities, incident investigations, audits, and reviews.
• Develop job plans for safe and efficient work, including skill requirements, tools, scheduling, parts, and safety instructions.
• Ensure PSM compliance, mechanical integrity, and support supervision and management.
• Stay current with VTA assignments and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in safety incident reviews and ensure inspections are performed safely and according to safety standards.

2. Inspection of Equipment

• Maintain relationships with personnel in various units for inspection scheduling.
• Coordinate repairs, alterations, and reratings with relevant teams and contractors.
• Communicate process changes affecting pressure equipment integrity.
• Report major activities affecting safety or downtime to relevant management.
• Work with operations, maintenance, and engineering to approve or disapprove corrective actions.
• Attend inspection meetings, perform backlog verification, and conduct field audits.
• Perform visual, CUI, and corrosion monitoring inspections, and update inspection documentation.
• Investigate and document loss of containment incidents.
• Manage inspections with contractors and update drawings and P&ID’s.

3. Teamwork

• Interact with leaders, contractors, engineers, and inspection team members to ensure proper documentation and inspection practices.
• Assist in developing inspection plans and support team during outages.
• Coordinate resources for on-site activities and off-site vendor work.
• Research and adopt new inspection technologies.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience in pressure vessel and piping inspection in relevant industries.
• Current API-510 and API-570 certifications; Level II NDE certifications preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Welding Inspection/NDE or similar.
• 10+ years’ experience in pressure vessel and piping inspection.
• Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Inspector, Level 2 NDE, experience with SAP, RBI, PCMS, AutoCAD, and knowledge of oil & gas industry standards.

Most Important Skills & Knowledge:

• Experience with ASME, API, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office, good communication, and organizational skills.
