Western Express, Inc. is seeking an equipment inspector to support our yard operations. You will identify DOT compliance issues, maintenance needs, tire concerns, and other equipment-related requirements as units enter the yard.

You will document findings in our systems and communicate with the shop or service providers. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and helping drivers. We offer weekly pay and a family-oriented culture.

Formación

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and related software.
  • No relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of consistent employment history or schooling.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and work underneath equipment as required.

Responsabilidades

  • Accurately document and enter detailed information into computer systems and communicate findings to the Shop or service provider as needed.
  • Follow the company’s tire inspection program for each unit and identify tire-related maintenance needs.
  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices to protect yourself and our drivers.
  • Address equipment-related issues promptly while providing exceptional service to drivers and customers.
  • Consistently follow established procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Recognize and share best practices with team members.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment at all times.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will support our equipment inspection and service process by identifying DOT compliance issues, maintenance needs, tire concerns, and other equipment-related requirements as units enter the yard. You will use a variety of tools, resources, and training to accurately identify and communicate these needs.
