Job summary

Tech Met, Inc. in Glassport, PA, is seeking an experienced Inspection Technician for a daylight, full-time role. The position centers on precision measurement, quality inspections, and adherence to customer and government requirements.

You will perform incoming, in-process and final inspections, conduct wet-chemistry lab analyses, maintain quality logs, and calibrate critical equipment. Reading blueprints and helping train staff are also expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with measurement and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Familiarity with standard quality procedures and records.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of parts.
• Perform standard wet process laboratory analyses such as chemical bath titrations.
• Maintain quality logs and records per customer and government requirements.
• Conduct calibration of quality-critical equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist in training personnel on quality requirements and procedures.
• Document certifications, job control documents, and other quality-related records.
• Ensure FAA-related inspection requirements are followed and reporting is accurate.

THE POSITION

Our fast-growing company has an opening for an experienced Inspection Technician. The qualified candidate should ideally have experience working in a manufacturing related position with direct experience with laboratory procedures, measuring of parts, and statistical methods. This is a full-time, daylight position at our Glassport facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of parts as required
• Perform standard wet process laboratory analysis such as chemical bath titrations
• Maintain proper quality logs and/or quality records as required by customer and government agencies
• 75% of job will require parts measurement
• Perform and document quality compliance audits as necessary
• Perform and document calibration of quality critical equipment and instrumentation
• Assist in the training of personnel in quality requirements and related procedures
• Complete and/or verify part quality documentation (certifications, job control documents, etc.) FAA repair station safety sensitive inspection.
• FAA mandated drug and alcohol testing applies to this position Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

Position Requirements

• Ability to accurately measure in-process and final processed parts with high precision utilizing most fundamental measurement tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings preferred
• Quality Certification preferred but not required
• Ability to maintain human factors principles to support a just culture that encourages open feedback
• Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED) required
• Flexibility to support our Donora location as needed
• Use of both specialized and standard computer applications in the performance of duties
• Requires Heavy Lifting of Parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance
• Ability to support our Donora location when necessary
• Ability to work overtime and various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evenings
