Job description

The Engineering Department Construction Management Division - Materials Engineering Unit is seeking a Steel Inspector to perform inspections for contract JFK-174.334 at Penn Fab - 20 Steel Road South, Morrisville, PA 19067.

• Duration: Start on 11/09/2026, End: 01/15/2027.
• Work consists of performing fabrication inspections for DMS Sign Support Structures.
• The inspector must be a certified AWS CWI, MT and UT Level 2.

Requirements

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform all inspections as required by the Contract Specification and governing Code.
• Submit daily narratives via email of the work including all obtained data, in Adobe PDF format with handwritten or secure digital signature.

Skill Requirements:

• Required to travel to jobsites.
• Must have the ability to pass a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and/or Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC) background screening at a High Level (when required)
