Valdese Weavers is seeking an Inspection Material Handler to move and store fabric, record locations using LXE gun, and ensure accurate labeling per ISO 9001 standards. The role requires lifting heavy items, daily collaboration with team members, and adherence to safety protocols.

Excellent attention to detail and basic computer skills are essential. Applicants should be prepared for a demanding shift schedule and a fast-paced production environment at our NC facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move fabric from Inspection to staging area for pickup by truck driver.
• Maintain electronic records showing location of fabric (LXE gun and computer).
• Properly identify fabric with labels and tickets; ensure data matches.
• Keep work area clean and maintain good housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as needed and follow ISO 9001 work instructions.

## INSPECTION MATERIAL HANDLERValdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.SCOPE: Move and store fabric as neededPPE: Hearing protection in high noise areas, safety belt when using cherry picker, seat belt on fork lift, other as needed to do an assignment safely**TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:**motorized equipment, general office supplies, LXE gun, scissors, bagger, and conveyor belt# REQUIRED PRODUCTION OUTPUT PER SHIFT: Keep up with production# ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Safety:* Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.* Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.* Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.2.
