Valdese Weavers LLC is a long-standing, ESOP-owned textile producer located in North Carolina. This role involves staging materials from manufacturing to warehouse and coordinating yarn movements. The job emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a high-noise environment with P.I.T.

equipment handling. Employees on 2nd and 3rd shifts receive a $1.00 shift premium, and an attendance bonus of $50 every two weeks without time off.

Responsibilities

• Stage materials from manufacturing operations to warehouse.
• Stage materials from warehouse to be shipped.
• Pull yarn as needed from the main plant list.
• Place incoming yarn into the appropriate location.
• Load yarn onto the truck.
• Pull yarn for outside processed yarns.
• Maintain attendance to meet company goals.
• Follow safety guidelines and 5S standards.
• Perform overtime as scheduled.
• Assist supervisor with other duties as needed.

As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.Job Summary:Stage materials from manufacturing operations to warehouse. Stage materials from warehouse to be shipped. Hearing protection is required in high noise areas, safety belt/harness required when using P.I.T. equipment.Tools and Equipment used: RF Gun, computer, P.I.T.Essential Functions: Perform the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 work instructions and standardsScan and adjust box or bin rows, and combine yarns to create bins.Open share file, pull yarn required for main, locate in bins.Load yarn onto the truck.Place yarn from vendors or other plants into the proper location.Make any transaction needed to ensure inventory is correct.Pull yarn for outside processed yarns.Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands of the job.Work scheduled overtime.Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.Safety:Report all job related injuries to the supervisor immediately.Report any safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs, which identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by the company.Follow the 5 S Standards.Hearing protection is required in high noise areas, safety belt/harness required when using P.I.T. equipmentQualifications:Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.Basic reading, writing, and math skills
