Job description

Join our team as an Insider Threat Analyst at Strada! In this role, you will monitor and analyze employee activity across our systems to identify potential insider threats, such as data breaches, unauthorized access, or malicious activities. You will detect anomalous behaviors, investigate findings, and report to relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information. Collaboration with IT, HR, and legal teams will be essential for thorough investigations.

Key responsibilities:

1. Data Monitoring: Actively monitor user access logs, system activity, network traffic, and other data sources to identify suspicious behaviors.
2. Behavioral Analysis: Analyze employee activity patterns for anomalies like unusual access times, excessive data downloads, or atypical file transfers.
3. Alert Triage: Review security alerts, prioritize investigations, and determine which require further action.
4. Investigation Management: Conduct detailed investigations, gather evidence, and collaborate with HR, legal, and IT teams.
5. Threat Assessment: Evaluate risks based on employee access, data sensitivity, and potential motivations.
6. Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for mitigation.
7. Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of insider threat detection policies and procedures.
8. Security Awareness Training: Work with security teams to educate employees about insider threats and data handling best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network protocols, user access controls, DLP, and incident response.
• Experience with SIEM tools and data analytics platforms.
• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and draw conclusions.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements related to employee monitoring and data privacy.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GCIH are preferred.

Salary Range

Minimum: $72,200 USD
