About The Role

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Inside Sales Supervisor to join our Inside Sales Team in Duluth, GA. This role will work alongside a team of supervisors and support a specific territory. Daily tasks include coaching and developing your team. This position plays a key role in driving revenue growth from new and existing customers, meeting sales targets, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

This role also involves ensuring all processes and procedures are followed and orders are completed. It is important to ramp up on the WEG product line and market to assist throughout the sales cycle. Prior experience handling various sales issues such as back orders, pricing, order entry, delivery methods, and shipping costs for industrial equipment is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all assigned team members from sales, HR, training, and coaching perspectives.
  • Keep the Inside Sales Manager informed on performance, operations, and team status.
  • Provide feedback and solutions for management consideration.
  • Foster a focus on customer service among team members.
  • Adjust team workload as necessary for efficiency.
  • Review and improve current processes, eliminating non-value activities.
  • Enhance effectiveness by providing tools, training, and standardized processes.
  • Implement training programs and procedural changes to improve team performance.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors/managers to improve interdepartmental relationships and communication.
  • Participate in special projects aimed at departmental improvements.
  • Engage in direct sales activities such as handling customer calls, preparing quotations, and discussing pricing and delivery details.
  • Mentor junior team members, train new hires, and promote mentoring skills.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities according to company policies and laws, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and resolving employee issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager.

Education

  • HS or GED required; an associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred.

Knowledge / Training

  • Strong knowledge of sales and customer service concepts.
  • People management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions.
  • Technical aptitude in electrical and mechanical areas.
  • Some finance experience is highly beneficial.
  • Understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and market forces.

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
