Job summary

New Castle Building Products, based in White Plains, NY, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Brooklyn location. You will handle calls and emails, prepare quotes for the outside sales team, process orders, and support contractor accounts.

Candidates should have a can-do, customer-service-first mindset, basic math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, homeowners, and coworkers. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; building-material knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bi-Lingual Spanish is a plus.
• Must have a can do, customer service first attitude.
• Basic math skills.
• Must have a good memory to retain working knowledge of building materials (Roofing, Siding, Decking, Windows/Doors, Waterproofing).
• Prior experience with building materials is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and emails.
• Quote projects for the outside sales team.
• Process completed orders and projects.
• Cold call prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain a working technical knowledge of products sold.
• Coordinate customer delivery requirements with the dispatcher.
• Shared responsibility for inventory management and purchasing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
