Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 - 3+ years of sales, B2B, account management experience is a plus!
  • Trades - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, & Propane experience is a PLUS
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
  • Organizational skills & Professional phone etiquette.
  • Comfortable in an inbound / outbound phone call environment.
  • Confident phone presence with excellent rapport-building abilities.
  • Independent and accountable self-starter.
  • Experience with consultative or solution selling is preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote or hybrid position.

Job Summary

Responsible for facilitating the sales process to generate new sales opportunities or upsell via phone, email, or other electronic communication. Oversee responses to customer order and quotation requests for all account levels received via outside salespersons, telephone, email, and written or faxed correspondence.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
  • Facilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and customer service support.
  • Generate profitable growth through quota attainment.
  • Provide product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other resources to determine appropriate prices.
  • Develop code directives for certain products while maintaining target margin goals.
  • Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.

Nature and Scope

  • Refer complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Work under general supervision, exercising judgment in accordance with policies, procedures, and techniques. Work involves regular review by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting with opportunities to move about. Rarely, may need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires less than 10% overnight travel.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training or certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of relevant experience.
