Job description

O'Neal Steel is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Mobile, AL facility.

The role of the Inside Sales Representative is to identify new customer sales opportunities and manage existing business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal account coordinator for assigned accounts
  • Develop new accounts and implement plans for growth in existing accounts
  • Utilize consultative selling and closing skills
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products and industry trends
  • Provide quotes and follow up, enter orders into the system to initiate sales/distribution processes
  • Provide feedback on sales opportunities to district management and Outside Sales
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer orders with high quality and service standards
  • Coordinate with departments to resolve customer complaints regarding damaged or incorrect materials or delivery issues
  • Offer personalized customer service to reinforce customer satisfaction
  • Assist other Inside Sales Representatives in managing their accounts when necessary

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience; Steel Industry experience preferred
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and aggressive attitude
  • Detail-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent training and experience
