The role acts as a single point of contact, assisting prescribers in evaluating referrals and performing care coordination to meet service level requirements, often in coordination with a mirrored outside sales representative. The target customers include physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing staff, office managers, administrative and pharmacy staff within hospital and community oncology settings.

This position is home-based with minimal travel required and involves:

  • Achieve call expectations for assigned prescribers, focusing on top targets, key influencers, and pipeline leads.
  • Identify, rank, prospect, and develop key oncology practice and hospital-based business relationships within the targeted regional territory.
  • Assist with sales escalations and communicate routinely with field sales representatives about prescriber or patient experience issues.
  • Support education and delivery of key messages and product presentations to ensure territory performance.
  • Forward clinical questions (e.g., dosing, adverse events) to Staff Pharmacists.
  • Document and update each patient’s profile and CRM with relevant information.
  • Handle customer complaints with discretion, documenting and forwarding issues appropriately.
  • Manage prescriber communication preferences.
  • Nurture and maintain prescriber relationships to enhance loyalty and retention.
  • Use SPOC tools to process prescriptions efficiently throughout the workflow.
  • Assist with prior authorizations, follow up on issues, and coordinate communication.
  • Ensure timely communication of prescription renewals to maintain continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with sales to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Regional Director Qualifications:

  • Preferably 2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience, familiar with pharmacy terminology, billing, medication codes, and IV dosage calculations.
  • Preferably 2 years of inside or outside sales experience in pharmacy or health services.
  • Oncology sales experience is a plus but not required.
  • Exceptional probing and consultative communication skills.
  • Familiarity with oncology providers, drugs, clinics, and hospital communities.
  • Understanding of oncology drug reimbursement, Managed Care, Medical Specialty, and PBM benefits.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
