Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Research and compile lists of prospective customers and take action on sales leads supplied by other sources
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of company product lines, saleable features, and knowledge of ordering process
  • Make outbound lead and follow-up contacts in order to sell products in a B2B environment
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers to complete sales and meet established goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, primarily consisting of independent outdoor power equipment dealerships
  • Recommend plans to dealers to increase sales and margin potential through booking orders, marketing campaigns, promotions, new product introductions and expansion of current product offering
  • Gather and analyze competitive company data using provided and publicly available resources; obtain and maintain knowledge of competitor product line features and benefits
  • Create and customize conversation scripts and guidelines to fit communication goals and objectives
  • Track, report and communicate weekly account activity and history; record execution against weekly/monthly goals via call logs and call rating data
Qualifications
  • Minimum one-year related experience in sales and/or customer service is required
  • Strong verbal skills with the ability to be successful communicating and working over the telephone and in written format
  • Experience in cold calling potential prospects is required
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite, sales related mapping software and demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar
  • Familiarity with or can learn our key competition in outdoor power equipment
  • Tenacity and the ability to forge an effective relationship with the field sales team in order to gain intimate market knowledge of the needs for each territory and to develop successful sales strategies
  • Annual travel will be limited but required for company events, customer visits, industry conferences or sales training opportunities, as needed
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
