Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) who thrives in sales and customer service. You’ll be the face of the store, share product information, provide estimates, and process transactions. You’ll also follow up on online quotes, qualify new leads, support Outside Sales Reps, and assist in inventory control.

Salary includes commission with no cap, reflecting a rewards-driven culture that puts people first and rewards hard work.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers walking into the store by sharing product information and advising on project needs.
• Produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads (cold calling as needed).
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control (cycle counts, resolve overages/shortages).

Description
When a customer walks in the store, you will be there to assist them. You will share product information, give advice on their project needs, produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions. You will also follow up on online customer quotes, cold call to qualify new leads, support the Outside Sales Reps as needed, and assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.

Each ISR completes training to learn our products, our POS System, and how to fill out paperwork. Salary + commission! Our commission is structured so that there is no limit to your compensation.
