Reliance, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our organization in a full-time role. This position suits someone with strong administrative and communication skills and a background in steel or industrial sales.

You will build relationships with customers, respond to quotes, fulfill orders accurately, and use AS400 and Salesforce to relay needs and maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and manage data accuracy.
• Experience with AS400, Salesforce, and MS Office is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, plus organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers through responsive, reliable service
• Collaborate with Outside Sales and Inside Sales Manager to respond to quotes and fulfill orders accurately
• Interpret customer material applications and relay internal needs using AS400 and Salesforce
• Maintain updated and accurate customer data in the AS400 system
• Support customer satisfaction through clear communication, inventory coordination, and timely delivery
• Understand our division’s capabilities to make informed, quality-driven decisions
• Effectively respond to urgent customer needs and changing priorities

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Entry Level, but 1-2 years of experience in steel or industrial sales preferred

Additional Skills

• Ability to explain and present information clearly in both one-on-one and group settings
• Basic math and data analysis skills
• Knowledge of steel terminology and product grades is a plus
• Occasional travel may be required
