Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Norwood, MA. You will be the main point of contact for customers visiting the showroom, handle calls and orders, and prepare quotes for windows and exterior building products based on architect plans.

Grow product knowledge to deliver exceptional service, utilize the inventory system to fill orders and maintain stock, and assist in warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or retail and customer service.
• Willingness to learn about Lansing's products and services.
• Ability to work with customers and teams in a showroom environment.
• Basic computer usage and data entry skills.
• Physically capable of lifting building materials up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for customers visiting the showroom.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and process orders.
• Prepare quotes for windows and exterior building products based on plans.
• Develop product knowledge to advise customers effectively.
• Fill orders using the inventory system and manage stock.
• Support warehouse tasks, including loading/unloading materials when needed.

Inside Sales Responsibilities

• Embody our mission statement, centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers visiting the showroom
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, answering customer inquiries and processing orders
• Prepare quotes for windows and other exterior building products based on architect plans
• Provide exceptional service to all customers by developing a thorough knowledge of Lansing's products and services
• Use our nationally-linked inventory management system to fill customer orders and maintain inventory control
• Be willing to assist in the warehouse, including loading and unloading materials as needed

Inside Sales Qualifications

• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required
• High level of integrity and commitment to customer service
• Strong interest in sales and/or retail, as evidenced by previous job experience or education
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with customers
• Computer skills, including use of a keyboard and monitor
• Goal-oriented with a willingness to take on new challenges
• Knowledge of building principles and products is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual / Spanish proficiency a plus
