Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Exports Inside Sales Rep. You will provide friendly customer service, process orders, and coordinate deliveries while strengthening relationships with customers and supporting the Outside Sales team.

Key responsibilities include handling orders, maintaining product knowledge, and coordinating with transportation to ensure on-time delivery. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Outside Sales Representative and customer.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Support assigned division and customer assignments.
• Manage customer orders, callbacks, and emails for edits and confirmations.
• Maintain knowledge of product and systems to assist sales and customers.
• Provide product information on inventory and general details.
• Arrange exception deliveries with Transportation and 3rd party systems.
• Assist Outside Sales Representatives with order entry.
• Support Sales penetration and growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Provides friendly and efficient customer service, order processing and delivery support to customers of Specialty Companies via phone, email and internet. Strengthens customer relationships through strong product knowledge and product application, delivery coordination, and error resolution.

Essential Functions:

• Serves as liaison between the Outside Sales Representative and customer.
• Develops and maintains customer relationships.
• Supports and partners with assigned division and customer assignment.
• Manages customer orders manually and completes timely callbacks/e-mails to discuss edits and confirm complete orders.
• Maintain current knowledge of product and system status within divisions to assist Outside Sales Representatives and customers.
• Serves as information resource to Outside Sales Representatives, on product related questions regarding inventory levels and general product information.
• Arranges exception deliveries in collaboration with Transportation departments, 3rd party order/delivery systems, aligned with Halperns’.
• Supports Outside Sales Representatives with order entry.
• Supports Sales penetration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills.
• Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Highly motivated self starter with a focus on details and accuracy in a fast paced environment.
• Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices.
• Must have good customer service and time management skills.
• Ability to problem solve and develop solutions on a variety of complex business issues with the ability to balance customer needs within the framework of Gordon Food Service business practices.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of Foodservice industry and operations for Non Commercial Segment.
• Understand government regulations and commodities.
• Ability to perform 10-key data entry.
