Job summary

Genesee Scientific Corporation in San Diego, CA, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to accelerate growth by developing new opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers. You will connect marketing activity and field sales to build a healthy pipeline and convert transactions into recurring revenue.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 1+ year in life sciences sales, with strong communication and CRM experience.

The Inside Sales Representative accelerates growth by developing new sales opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers. This role connects marketing activity, inbound demand, customer purchasing data, and field sales execution to build a healthy pipeline and turn individual transactions into recurring revenue. Success will be measured by qualified opportunities created, pipeline progression, customer engagement, and incremental revenue generated across assigned accounts.

What Will You Do

• Execute targeted inbound and outbound outreach to identify prospective customers, re-engage inactive accounts, and uncover new opportunities within existing accounts
• Research and map accounts, contacts, laboratories, and buying groups to build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
• Qualify customer needs, applications, purchasing patterns, timelines, budgets, and decision processes, and document relevant details in Salesforce
• Use sales history, Salesforce data, and customer insights to identify opportunities to increase product adoption, consumables utilization, recurring orders, and share of wallet
• Connect customers with relevant Genesee products, promotions, samples, and solutions based on their laboratory needs and research workflows
• Support product launches, supplier initiatives, and changes to product availability by communicating proactively with customers and internal partners
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records, manage follow-up cadences, monitor pipeline health, and consistently work toward activity, opportunity, and revenue goals. Share customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights with internal teams

Requirements

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science or equivalent experience
• 1+ years in sales development, inside sales, or pipeline-focused roles within life sciences, laboratory or related discipline
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate at all levels of customer organizations and within Genesee
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to creatively solve problems
• Results orientated, strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications; experience with a CRM, Salesforce is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and effectively manage multiple priorities

Rate of Pay: $29.00 - $34.00/hr. plus commission
