In this remote Inside Sales role, you will be part of our call center team, serving as the first voice patients hear when exploring care. This role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to manage emotionally driven sales conversations in a compliant, patient-focused manner.
You’ll collaborate with field sales, marketing, and clinical teams to convert leads into scheduled appointments — helping people get the care they need while following best practices in healthcare compliance, including HIPAA.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively follow up on inbound leads via phone, email, or text to engage and qualify prospective patients.
- Build rapport quickly, listen actively, and understand each caller’s pain points and motivations.
- Use emotional intelligence to guide patients through an emotionally sensitive decision-making process.
- Explain the benefits of AposHealth services and clearly communicate next steps in the patient journey.
- Convert qualified leads into scheduled patient evaluations by following a proven sales process.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a supportive and caring experience during every interaction.
- Educate patients about treatment, insurance coverage, costs, and what to expect.
- Handle objections with empathy and professionalism, reinforcing value over cost.
- Use the CRM system to track all leads, communications, and progress.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system and follow internal scheduling processes.
- Ensure all activities adhere to HIPAA, privacy, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Work closely with field sales representatives, clinical providers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and a seamless patient experience.
- Participate in team meetings and performance reviews, sharing insights and feedback from patient interactions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline scheduling processes and improve the patient experience, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Requirements:
- 1+ years experience in inside sales, healthcare sales, or a call center sales environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a high degree of empathy.
- Strong understanding of emotional, consultative, or needs-based sales.
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing leads or pipelines.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Knowledge of Athena strongly preferred
- Understanding of health insurance, including terms like deductible, out-of-pocket maximum, and co-pay.
- Ability to follow structured processes while maintaining a personalized approach.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting with a reliable internet connection.
