Job summary

Uwajimaya is seeking a dynamic, team‑oriented sales professional for our Food Service International team in Seattle. You will develop and sustain a restaurant customer base, selling products regularly and expanding partnerships across King, Pierce, and surrounding counties while communicating with Korean or Vietnamese speaking partners.

Starting pay ranges from $26.24 to $38.05 per hour, with full‑time, non‑exempt hourly status.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-4 years of experience in area of specialization.
• Fluency in Korean or Vietnamese is required to communicate with customers and partners.
• Knowledge of Asian products is preferred.
• Restaurant management, marketing and sales experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Call customers regularly to establish relationships and increase future sales.
• Maintain and grow current customer base and win new customers with high service.
• Gather client info to understand market demand and opportunities.
• Check accounts receivable bi-monthly for past due invoices.
• Discuss visit schedules with sales staff to manage payments and orders.
• Monitor critical items to avoid shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and escalate when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Develop and establish a strong restaurant customer base to sell products to on a recurring, regular basis. Continue to seek out new customer partnerships to increase sales within the King, Pierce, Whatcom, Skagit, Kitsap, Thurston, and Snohomish County areas. This role requires frequent communication with Korean and Vietnamese‑speaking customers, vendors, and business partners. Fluency in Korean or Vietnamese is required to effectively communicate, build relationships, and support customer needs.

Position’s Key Responsibilities

• Call customers on a regular basis to establish a good working relationship, enhance sales and satisfy customers’ need to gain future sales.
• Maximize market share by maintaining current customer base and gaining new customers by providing excellent sales service.
• Gather information from clients to comprehend market demand and market conditions and to use this advantage for potential sales.
• Check accounts receivable statements bi‑monthly to monitor any customers’ past due invoices.
• Discuss with the sales staff the necessity to visit past due accounts or work out a schedule of payments with customers to prevent further indebtedness and allow them to continue to order.
• Constantly be aware of "critical" items to anticipate shortage of merchandise.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Build strong and positive relationships with each customer to enhance sales and keep the business growing.
• Resolve customer complaints and/or problems in a timely manner. Consult management if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay: $26.24/hr., Depending on Experience

Pay Range: $26.24 – $38.05/hr.
