Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Richmond-based Inside Sales Intern for a 10-week program designed to provide a real-life working environment and exposure to McKesson's sales processes. You will gain foundational experience as a McKesson employee with potential for a full-time offer upon completion.

Responsibilities include researching prospective clients, executing contact campaigns, collaborating with inside sales teams, and gaining hands-on experience with Salesforce.com within a fast-paced healthcare

McKesson Medical‑Surgical (MMS), which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027, is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of the McKesson Corporation. MMS distributes medical‑surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic equipment and supplies, along with other solutions and services to virtually every type of healthcare setting and provider outside of the traditional hospital. Program Overview

McKesson’s Intern program is 10 weeks long, based in Richmond, Virginia, and is designed to provide:

General Requirements

While specific requirements for each role may vary, here are our general requirements:

• Enrolled as a full‑time student at the time of the internship, at the Undergraduate or Graduate level
• 18 Years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Major in a technical, business, technology, or analytics discipline
• Strong communication, writing and team collaboration skills
• Ability to manage priorities effectively
• Ability to analyze and aggregate data

Inside Sales

The Inside Sales Intern(s) will be responsible for engaging and prospecting decision‑makers to reestablish dormant relationships while driving key sales initiatives. This is a great opportunity for rising seniors to learn about the healthcare industry, learn about products, and engage with customers.

• Conduct research on prospective clients
• Executing customer contact campaigns focused on targeted initiatives and/or reactivating dormant accounts
• Partnering with inside sales reps and manager on special projects
• Working in Salesforce.com and executing marketing and sales campaigns
• Learn the basic competencies of a medical sales representative and aid in the sales process

Compensation

We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets.

Our Base Pay Range for this position $16.50 - $27.50

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long‑term incentive opportunities may be offered.
