Job summary

ASPEQ Heating Group is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to support our Electric Heat business within HVAC solutions. You will provide technical assistance, sales support, quotations, and collaborate on quality and process improvements across functions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2–3 years in a technical sales or support role, and strong communication. This is a hybrid position with up to 25% travel and on-site 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years' experience in a technical sales or support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Call on engineers, architects, sales representatives, contractors, and other technical personnel to promote products and services, demonstrate their value and practical application, and influence prospective clients to adopt solutions that meet their business and operational needs.
  • Work with factory direct or outside sales representatives on the preparation and/or presentation of pricing, technical information, proposals and related documents for the purpose of obtaining customer purchase orders.
  • Manage assigned product lines, geographic region, OEM or key accounts as defined by sales management.
  • Perform quoting activity for customer.
  • Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or establish pricing of the proposed equipment or services.
  • Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide technical training to field sales personnel.
  • Be product expert and continually looking to enhance the company's products.
  • Recommend solutions, designs, alterations or application of company's products or services to satisfy the needs of the customer in keeping with company objectives.
  • Liaison between sales, engineering, manufacturing, quality and production control on all issues regarding the customer's placement of or intent to place purchase orders.
  • Report competitive or commercial issues relating to company's products or services to management.
  • Present the company, to outside agencies, in a manner consistent with the standards of the company.
  • Participate in all other duties as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department or organization

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will provide technical assistance, sales support, sales follow-up, and compelling quotations to our external customers. In addition, this position will support Quality and Process improvements, as well as assist other business functions when technical expertise is required.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

  1. Customer Engagement and Support
    • Establish and maintain customer relationships

Required Experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in a technical sales or support role

  • Detailed oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and completeness in data entry and reporting
  • Self-directed and organized, exhibiting strong initiative, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Travel & Working Environment
  • Hybrid office environment - 2-3 days on-site
  • Up to 25% Travel
