As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth and creating new business opportunities. You'll be on the front lines of our go-to-market strategy, identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers while partnering closely with Marketing and Sales to accelerate revenue growth.
This role is ideal for a motivated, curious, and results-oriented professional who enjoys connecting with people, uncovering business challenges, and helping customers find solutions that drive value. Through strategic outreach across phone, email, social selling, chat, and AI-powered prospecting tools, you'll generate qualified opportunities and directly contribute to company success.
You will serve as the bridge between Marketing and Sales, transforming interest into meaningful conversations and helping prospects navigate their buying journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists using multiple data sources, including CRM systems, ZoomInfo, 6sense, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and marketing-generated leads.
- Identify and engage prospective customers through outbound calling, email campaigns, social selling, chat, and other digital channels.
- Research accounts and contacts to uncover business needs, buying signals, and qualification criteria.
Lead Qualification & Opportunity Creation
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using established sales methodologies and qualification frameworks.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer objectives, pain points, and business challenges.
- Present our company, solutions, and value proposition in a compelling and customer-focused manner.
- Create and seamlessly transition high-quality sales opportunities to Account Executives for further engagement.
CRM & Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate and timely records within Salesforce or CRM platforms, including contact information, activity history, opportunity details, and next steps.
- Track outreach activities, pipeline progression, and key performance metrics to ensure achievement of individual and team goals.
- Leverage AI-powered sales tools and insights to improve prospecting effectiveness, productivity, and engagement.
- Partner closely with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and market trends.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership and Account Executives to align outreach strategies and maximize conversion rates.
- Stay current on industry trends, market developments, competitive positioning, and product knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, lead generation, or customer-facing sales roles.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals and sales metrics.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence decision-makers across multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience managing prospecting activities, account development, and opportunity qualification.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar tools.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using modern sales engagement and intelligence platforms such as ZoomInfo, 6sense, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, or Salesloft.
- Familiarity with AI-powered sales tools and workflows.
- Experience selling SaaS, data, technology, financial services, mortgage, real estate, or information solutions.
