Job summary

Mead Lumber seeks an Inside Sales Associate in Grandview to support our sales team and retail operations. You will manage customer accounts and orders while assisting customers at the counter with product selection and purchasing advice.

You will collaborate with OSRs, input orders, and maintain accurate quotes and inventory, contributing to sales growth and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in construction sales is a plus.
• Experience with sales processes or administration.
• Familiarity with BizTrack is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, reliable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including ordering, stocking, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Input orders and quote material lists accurately.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent service.
• Write tickets for stock and special orders.
• Work closely with outside sales staff and support their accounts.
• Monitor open orders and ensure timely completion.
• Set up loads with dispatch and coordinate deliveries and credit pick-ups.
• Process confirmations, invoices, and credits.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
• Operate cash register accurately.

Job Summary
