Job Description

With more than 50 years’ experience in the crop protection industry, EAS offers a unique portfolio of expertise, providing extensive laboratory and field support across multiple industries including agrochemical, biopesticide, pharmaceutical, biocide, and fine chemical manufacturers.

Job Duties:

  • Review customer scope from BDM and consult with Scientific Advisors and operations staff to gather technical/scientific information required to accurately prepare study proposals/quotations and estimates in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Work closely with Scientific Advisors, operations staff and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review draft proposals for accuracy and thoroughness before finalizing and submitting to BDM, who will send to the client.
  • Keep accurate and organized records to assist BDM in following up on client inquiries and proposals, ensuring timely responses, professional communication, and client satisfaction.
  • Generate Change Orders in CRM upon request from Study Directors and/or operations staff.
  • Assist BDM in nurturing and developing leads and prospects within assigned industry via email, telephone/video calls, and, on occasion, visits to the client site or at conferences/trade shows.
  • Actively work with BDMs and clients to optimize sales potential by understanding and responding to client needs and timelines. Propose creative solutions when appropriate.
  • Serve as secondary contact between Eurofins and client when BDM is unavailable.
  • Attend calls/video calls, meetings, and conferences to support business development and strengthen client relationships.
  • Act as liaison between clients and Program Coordinators and/or Accounting to forecast future invoices and meet client’s budgetary needs.
  • Maintain current client information and contacts for assigned industry within CRM.
  • Ensure smooth handoff of contracted work by promptly informing Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Administration teams with summarized study information. Inform client of Study Director/Director/Operations contact(s) for programs and schedule/participate in kick-off calls as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Program Coordinators to provide test substance and timeline information for contracted work.
  • Track sales activity in designated tools to meet Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) numbers of sales calls/meetings, leads, prospects, opportunities, wins/losses for assigned client base.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the regular review and updating of commercial team SOPs and Price Catalog.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in processes to drive efficiency and share best practices.
  • Maintain files in an organized and thorough manner for internal use, including using network drives, SharePoint and Teams.
Qualifications

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Inside Sales and Proposal Coordinator to support our Business Development team. Partnered with assigned Business Development Manager(s) (BDM), you will proactively build sustainable growth, drive profitable revenue and foster ongoing client partnerships across the EAS group.

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States; preferance is given for candidates near Columbia, MO. Please check out our video that highlights the important work that we do.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and at least two years’ technical experience in a Contract Research Organization setting and/or biology or chemistry testing laboratory.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, or Training:

Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and customer service skills required. Familiarity with analytical testing processes/services required. Knowledge of R&D or regulatory approval process preferred. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Mathematical Skill:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

Reasoning Ability:

Strong ability to provide problem solving and critical thinking. Must be able to solve problems and present solutions. Able to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written, oral or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with particular skill in Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat required. Familiarity with PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams preferred. Experience in Microsoft D365 CRM preferred.

Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position.

English Language and Language Skills:

Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and speak English. Written documentation is legible and sufficiently fluent (in English) to be understood by others.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as study protocols, standard operating procedures, safety policies, instrument operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to summarize data and results. Communicates verbally and in written format, effectively with co-workers.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
