Job summary

Lansing Building Products LLC is seeking a showroom sales/customer service associate. You will greet customers, answer inquiries, and process orders while building product knowledge to deliver excellent service. You may assist in the warehouse and support inventory control, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a willingness to grow within a family-style organization that values respect, service, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and ability to engage with showroom visitors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently with customers.
• Ability to lift and move building materials up to 70 pounds.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for customers visiting the showroom.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, answer inquiries and process orders.
• Prepare quotes for windows and exterior building products based on architect plans.
• Develop product knowledge to provide exceptional service to customers.
• Fill customer orders and maintain inventory using the inventory system.
• Assist in the warehouse by loading and unloading materials as needed.

• Be willing to assist in the warehouse, including loading and unloading materials as needed
• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required
• High level of integrity and commitment to customer service
• Strong interest in sales and/or retail, as evidenced by previous job experience or education
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with customers
• Computer skills, including use of a keyboard and monitor
• Goal-oriented with a willingness to take on new challenges
• Knowledge of building principles and products is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual / Spanish proficiency a plus
