SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales associate for the Daytona Beach area to provide product knowledge on building materials and to take orders at the sales counter and by phone.

You will build relationships with customers, enter orders in the company system, and collaborate with Outside Sales and Sales Managers to implement strategic sales approaches. The role emphasizes solving customer objections, highlighting product features, and preparing orders or reports.

Job description

Position Purpose

The primary function of Inside Sales is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, construction safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry.

Key Responsibilities

Taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone.

Building relationships with customers.

Ability to use company computer system to enter orders.

Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.

Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.

Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.

Overcome objections of prospective customers.

Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 50% Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate basic office machinery. Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly working in office environment.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment. Requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication. Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and other business technology. Regular interaction with employees, customers, vendors, and other business contacts. May require occasional lifting of office supplies or materials up to 15 pounds. Ability to maintain focus and productivity while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
