Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 - 3+ years of sales, B2B, account management experience is a plus!
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, is a plus!
  • Organizational skills & professional phone etiquette.
  • Comfortable in an inbound/outbound phone call environment
  • Independent and accountable self-starter.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote/hybrid position
Job Summary

Increase business revenue by seamlessly processing and satisfying customer orders and quotation requests. Maintain margin targets and enhance profitability by building relationship value leveraging a consultative selling process.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
  • Achieves sales goals and targets using acceptable business practices and tools.
  • Delivers and expands business revenue and customer base by prospecting, developing, and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Utilizes market and industry knowledge to generate new opportunities, assist customers in forecasting needs, and develop quotes.
  • Enters and fulfills orders, manages inventory and projects, and obtains the highest return on investment (ROI) through innovative solutions.
  • Achieves and maintains sales, margin, and profitability targets leveraging consultative selling process, HD Supply business practices and tools.
  • Leverages industry knowledge and negotiation skills to negotiate advantageous volume/discount tradeoffs through knowledge of market pricing elasticity.
Nature and Scope
  • May modify processes to resolve situations.
  • Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Work involves interpreting procedures and policies, with periodic review by a supervisor or direct customers.
  • Provides guidance, training, and technical assistance to support personnel, contributing to their professional development.
Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
  • Mostly sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles.
  • Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education And Experience
  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required; generally 5-7 years of related experience.
