Job summary

The Villages is seeking personnel to join its on-site newspaper production team. The role focuses on meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and ensuring accuracy in daily Sun newspaper and commercial work while delivering strong customer service to internal and external customers.

Full-time and part-time positions offer benefits and require high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience, plus the ability to operate pallet jacks and other equipment.

Qualifications

• Must meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
• Able to operate power industrial equipment and/or pallet jack.
• Experience supporting production and distribution workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manually shuffle and load newspapers into inserting machine.
• Catch, strap and stack bundles coming off the inserting machine or press line.
• Separate the lead sheets for distribution to carriers.
• Relocate skids while operating a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Cut printed tabs to correct size.
• Assist in scale counting of newspapers.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of facility.
• All other duties as assigned.

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for having a direct effect on meeting deadlines, quality of product and accuracy while producing the Daily Sun newspaper and commercial work. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
