Job summary

The Observability Operations Engineer role based in Phoenix, AZ, is a 6-month, contract position requiring local candidates. You will administer Dynatrace, Splunk and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and support Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments while driving AI-assisted operations.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, alerts, RCA, and collaborating with SRE/DevOps teams to ensure platform performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong Observability Admin experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Hands-on monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and dashboards.
• Solid knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and related tools.
• Automation using Python/Shell scripting and REST APIs.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments and RCA.

• Automate operational tasks and drive self-healing and AI-assisted ops.
• Manage upgrades, patches, capacity planning, backups and governance.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure and App teams.
