Job summary

The Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) in New York is seeking a cleaner to work at an inpatient addiction treatment center. You will perform cleaning tasks across patient areas, offices, and common spaces to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities include removing waste, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms, bedrooms, and floors. This on-site role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety and procedural guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
• Candidates with experience in commercial cleaning are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove garbage.
• Clean offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean patient bedrooms once vacated.
• Clean bathrooms including toilets, showers, and sinks.
• Buff and wax floors.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
