The MetroHealth System in Cleveland seeks an Inpatient Trauma & Trauma/Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct, evidence-based care for critically ill patients in collaboration with Trauma Surgery physicians.
This role involves rounds on trauma floors and ICU, data interpretation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and bedside procedures, with day shifts and potential night coverage.
Inpatient Trauma & Trauma/Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Inpatient Trauma/Trauma & Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers direct patient care consistent with the APP’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with the attending Trauma Surgery physicians. This includes a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced, evidence-based care to critically ill patients . The APP will be expected to have a thorough understanding of trauma care and management, including advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and critically ill patients.
Other department-specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
The APP will work at Cleveland’s most experienced Level 1 Trauma Center at MetroHealth’s primary facility in Cleveland. This role requires adaptability, flexibility in scheduling, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality care across diverse clinical settings.
The position includes day shift coverage, with potential for night shift coverage based on staffing needs. Holiday and weekend coverage is required. Shifts may vary but primarily will be 12 hours length.
