About the Role:

Join our team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center as an Inpatient Transplant Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)! You'll play a vital role in delivering expert care to patients undergoing kidney & liver transplants and HPB surgeries. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide specialized care, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Postoperative Management: Monitor recovery, manage pain, and identify complications.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and adjust immunosuppressant medications.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients & families on pre/post-transplant care.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, and nurses.
  • Treatment Planning: Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Patient Advocacy: Address patient concerns and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

  • APRN or PA with valid state license and certification.
  • Minimum 1 year (3 years preferred) experience in transplantation, nephrology, surgery, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of kidney transplant procedures, post-op management, and immunosuppressive therapy.
