Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Beachwood, OH is seeking a Therapy Aide to support therapists in inpatient rehabilitation services. This full-time role involves assisting with patient transfers, positioning, equipment setup, and therapy session preparation within a collaborative care team.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification (or completion within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: 1+ year hospital experience as a therapy aide.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient related tasks assigned by therapist
• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces
• Assists patients with donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department
• Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment
• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed
• Assists therapist with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipment
• Assist with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS certification or completion within 90 days
