PRN Inpatient Therapist (Day Shift)

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

1. Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to individuals and families for emotional and behavioral disorders.
2. Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop discharge plans.
3. Conduct individual, group, or family therapy sessions as appropriate.
4. Develop initial treatment plans based on assessments and coordinate additional services, revising as needed.
5. Maintain documentation of therapy services according to standards.
6. Manage an assigned caseload.
7. Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate patient services.
8. Provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
9. Perform case management, discharge, or after-care planning as needed.
10. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients, addressing complaints and prioritizing patient safety.

Other Functions:

1. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services required.
• At least one year of experience working with a similar patient population required.

Licenses, Certifications, and Designations:

• Requisite state or national licensure for therapy providers or eligibility for licensure.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility policies.
