Job summary

Universal Health Services in Lexington, Kentucky seeks an Inpatient Therapist for a Full Time, Day Shift. The role focuses on providing therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental health and substance use diagnoses within a 110-bed hospital.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in social work or related field and licensure in social work or mental health, with 1–2 years of experience; inpatient exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or other mental health field is required.
• Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field (e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) is required.
• Crisis intervention training and CPR are offered upon hire.
• One to two years of mental health experience; inpatient experience preferred.

Full Time, Day Shift

Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Job Duties Include:

• Provide therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental and substance abuse diagnosis.
• Coordinate treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization and review.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments.
• Assess, develop, and implement groups to enhance treatment of patients.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

• Master’s degree in social work or other mental health field required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
