Job summary

Willow Springs Center in Reno, Nevada seeks a Per Diem Therapist Intern to join our inpatient program serving youth ages 6 to 17. The Therapist-Intern will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient progress as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include delivering group, individual, and family therapy, participating in discharge planning, and providing crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or similar field.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting preferred. DBT training a plus.
• Must possess licensure as an LCSW-Intern, LCPC-Intern or MFT-Intern. Evidence of licensure at interview; obtain licensure within 6 months to maintain employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in the Inpatient Program; perform assessments and create treatment plans.
• Document interactions with patients and families and track progress toward treatment goals.
• Engage in discharge planning activities; provide group, individual and family therapy.
• Collaborate with community providers, social service agencies and other therapeutic programs.
• Perform crisis intervention and address hostile behaviors per facility policy.
