Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) operates Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in the Houston area, seeking dedicated Therapists (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LPC-A/LPC-S) to provide therapeutic services to patients.

The role emphasizes family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and collaborative discharge planning. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work or related field and state licensure (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LPC-A/LPC-S); CPR and Handle With Care certifications are required or may be obtained

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or clinical related mental health field is required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills.
• Texas licensure as LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPC-A, or LPC-S is required.
• CPR and Handle With Care certifications; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsabilités

• Interviewing patients and developing the psychological history.
• Assessing the therapeutic needs of the patient and family.
• Provide counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups.
• Developing appropriate treatment objectives.
• Preparing monthly treatment summaries.
• Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility.
• Serve as patient advocate with the treatment team.
• Liaise with outside agencies and individuals to develop and coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and the patient’s family.

Formation

Master's Degree in Social Work or clinical related mental health field

Texas licensure: LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LPC-A/LPC-S
