Job summary

Mesilla Valley Hospital in Las Cruces, NM seeks an Inpatient Therapist to join our behavioral health team. The role provides individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals to help patients achieve emotional well-being.

The position offers clinical supervision, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth within UHS. A Master's degree in a related field and NM licensure are required, with one year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
• Current New Mexico licenses: LPC, LMSW, LAT, LMHC, LCSW, LPCC or LMFT.
• Minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, and information/referrals as needed.
• Assist patients in meeting biopsychosocial needs and facilitate their emotional health goals.
• Conduct consultation and teaching as part of therapy services.

Position Summary

The Inpatient Therapist provides therapeutic functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, information and referrals as needed are provided.

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC); licensed master's social worker (LMSW); licensed art therapist (LAT); or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)', licensed clinical social work (LCSW); licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC); or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT)

A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred
