Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Associate Therapist for a part-time role (8:00am-5:00pm, Sunday and Monday) in an inpatient facility serving adults and families dealing with addiction and mental health issues.

The position emphasizes individual, family and group therapy, collaboration with a treatment team, and adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Lic must obtain registration with Board of Behavioral Sciences; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling.
• Must obtain an associate registration number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling (preferred, not required).
• Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with mentally and emotionally disturbed clients.
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency.
• Works as a team member with other professionals.
• Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences.
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives.
• Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies.
• Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports.
• Attends conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues.
• Operates a personal computer and other office equipment.
• Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone.
• Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures and regulations, and develop appropriate responses.
• Perform job duties under stressful conditions.
• May be assigned some lead and special work coordination responsibilities.

Our inpatient facility houses 16 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. Spacious and newly remodeled facility, located on 4 private acres of land.

Positions Available

• Part -Time: 8:00am- 5:00pm Sunday and Monday (1 position as either an Associate Therapist or Licensed Therapist )

Hourly

Associate Therapist: $38.00 - $45.00

Licensed Therapist: $44.00 -$58.00

The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending on many factors including business needs.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

• Must obtain and maintain a registration number regulated by a state board (ASW, AMFT, APC)
• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Have at minimum one-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling.
• Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Preferred Education And Experience

• Two to three years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
• BA or MA degree in related field.
