Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 13 weeks | Full-time schedule

We re seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join a hospital team for a 13-week contract. If you're driven by precision, patient care, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, this role offers a chance to make a direct impact.

Position Summary
As an Inpatient Pharmacist, you ll be responsible for reviewing medication orders, ensuring appropriate dosing, and confirming that therapy plans align with patient needs. You'll assess for potential drug interactions, monitor lab values, and play a vital role in medication safety.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense physician-prescribed medications

  • Evaluate patient histories, allergies, and lab data for clinical appropriateness

  • Identify and resolve potential adverse drug events or therapy conflicts

  • Guide and supervise pharmacy technicians and students

  • Maintain inventory control and compliance standards

  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team on discharge planning and medication transitions

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college (required)

  • PharmD preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting OR completion of APPE in a clinical environment preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
