Job summary

Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide personalized assessment and therapy for patients with communication disorders. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing documentation of progress.

The position requires state licensure, CCC certification, CPR, and a master’s degree (or bachelor’s with field experience).

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred/required for practice.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment as necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with field experience
