Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Speech Pathologist License in the State of Illinois required.
• BLS from American Heart Association upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NM values of teamwork, patients first, integrity, and excellence in daily work.
• Provides direct patient care, teaching, and participates on committees and departmental process improvement.
• Serves as a role model for therapists and clinical interns in professional, clinical, and leadership activities.
• Maintains primary responsibility over patient plan of care with collaboration from treating ST/STA.
• Uses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns when they occur.
• Completes daily notes reflecting patient response to treatment and status toward discharge.
• Participates in efforts to reduce costs, streamline processes, and improve services.
• Maintains professional relationships with healthcare teams and participates in internal/external marketing.
