Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide inpatient rehab services, assessing and treating disorders of speech, language, voice, and cognitive communication following injury or illness.

The role requires a postgraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC or equivalent, SC licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Post-Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology per SC Board requirements.
• ASHA CCC or equivalent; SC licensure required; CCC must be awarded after fellowship.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech language pathology services per physician or APP referral.
• Evaluate patients using functional tests for speech-language, cognitive and swallowing deficits.
• Develop and monitor speech therapy treatment plans.
• Document patient progress notes, evaluation reports and discharge summaries.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for discharge planning and coordination of medical services.
