Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas is seeking a Teacher for Special Education to provide direct instruction to hospitalized children and adolescents in Benton, AR. The role reports to the Director of Education and focuses on maintaining academic performance during hospitalization and ensuring a smooth return to home schools.

The position requires an Arkansas SPED license, CPR/BLS certification, and Handle with Care training (offered at the facility).

Formación

• Must have valid Arkansas teaching license with SPED certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification (offered at facility)
• Current Handle with Care training (offered at facility)
• Preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65+
• Preferred classroom experience

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct instruction and educational services to hospitalized children and adolescents
• Help maintain or improve academic performance and support smooth post-discharge transition
• Coordinate with home school counselors and school district personnel during hospitalization and after discharge
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow classroom plans within working hours
