Job summary

Brattleboro Retreat seeks a Social Worker-Therapist I to provide clinical and case management services for patients and their families, promoting psychosocial functioning and reintegration. Under supervision, you will collaborate with the treatment team to address patient needs.

Responsibilities include individual, group, and family assessments, completing documentation, using ACT/DBT approaches, and coordinating with outpatient providers within 72 hours of admission.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work or counseling/behavioral health.
• One to two years of inpatient social work experience preferred.
• Must be registered on Vermont roster of psychotherapists prior to employment.
• Flexible 40-hour workweek to meet patient and family needs.
• Some working knowledge of MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to promote change per treatment plan.
• Meet with patients for individual psychotherapy as indicated by treatment plan.
• Offer supportive therapy to resolve tasks affecting treatment.
• Form therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Conduct group therapy as assigned by treatment team.
• Perform initial social service assessments within 1 business day of admission.
• Document interactions in EMR per policies.
