Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. seeks an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for a surgical hospital setting. The RN provides pre-, intra-, post-operative care, ensures patient safety, comfort, and coordinates with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include vital signs, wound care, pain management, education for patients and families, and discharge planning. Requires BSN or ADN, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.

Job Description: Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) - ReCenter

Position Overview: The Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providinghigh-quality patient care in a surgical hospital setting. The RN will delivernursing care to pre-operative, post-operative, and recovering patients,ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout theirhospitalization. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, compassionatecare, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieveoptimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Management:
    • Provide comprehensive nursingcare to patients admitted for surgical procedures.
    • Assess patients\' physical andemotional needs, including admission and post-operative assessments.
    • Monitor vital signs and patientconditions, recognizing changes in status and intervening as necessary.
    • Administer prescribedmedications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
    • Assist with wound care, painmanagement, and post-operative recovery.
    • Educate patients and theirfamilies on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and dischargeplans.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with surgeons,anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop andimplement individualized care plans.
    • Communicate effectively withpatients, families, and other healthcare team members.
    • Participate in multidisciplinaryrounds and contribute to patient care decisions.
  • Clinical Expertise and Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to infectioncontrol and safety protocols.
    • Perform patient assessments,document nursing interventions, and track patient progress.
    • Respond to medical emergencies,assist in code situations, and provide appropriate interventions.
    • Maintain accurate, detailed, andtimely patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Patient Advocacy and EmotionalSupport:
    • Advocate for patients’ rightsand provide emotional support during their hospitalization.
    • Address patients\' concerns andcomfort needs to ensure a positive hospital experience.
    • Provide education onpost-surgical care, medication management, and follow-up appointments.
  • Continuing Education andDevelopment:
    • Stay current on surgicalprocedures, nursing best practices, and hospital policies.
    • Participate in ongoingeducation, training, and certifications as required by the hospital andregulatory agencies.
    • Contribute to qualityimprovement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
    • Current state licensure as aRegistered Nurse (RN).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)certification required.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular LifeSupport (ACLS) certification required
  • Experience:
    • Previous nursing experience in asurgical or inpatient setting preferred.
    • Experience with post-operativecare, pain management, and wound care is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment,critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication,interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in afast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work collaborativelywith a multidisciplinary team.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a PRN position withrotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to lift and movepatients as needed.
  • The RN may be exposed topotentially infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, and otherenvironmental risks.
