Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is hiring an Inpatient Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, guiding them toward recovery. The role includes assessing needs, administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring conditions, with collaboration among physicians to develop comprehensive plans.

Experience in PACU/ICU is preferred, ACLS/PALS within 60 days of hire, and BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• WA State RN license required.
• 1+ year recent RN experience with acute care.
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing approved by WA State Board of Nursing.
• BLS from AHA at time of hire.
• Location requires quarterly AHA RQI competency post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and administer medications.
• Perform treatments and monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge home or to a new setting.
• Manage post-anesthesia/postoperative care in PACU, including pain and nausea.
