Job summary

3C-Group B on Main Campus Jackson seeks an RN-Inpatient to assess, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in an assigned unit. You will coordinate patient scheduling, records and admissions, and counsel patients and families on treatment plans.

You will liaise with case managers, home health, utilization review, and other services to coordinate care. The role requires strong nursing knowledge, teamwork, and effective communication; shift is Night, part-time with potential call

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required.
• Experience in inpatient nursing environment preferred.
• Ability to coordinate admissions, records and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments and interventions.
• Educates patients and families on condition, treatment plans and medication schedules.
• Ensures patient safety and maintains accurate records.
• Coordinates referrals to services within and outside the unit.
• Acts as a preceptor per UMMC guidelines and reports issues to supervisor.
• Participates in committees or projects to improve patient care.
