Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the inpatient unit. This 24/7/365 unit handles post-surgical ortho/spine patients and requires compassionate care aligned with our core values.

As a team member, you’ll assess patients, monitor systems, administer meds safely, and participate in care planning with a multidisciplinary team. BLS/ACLS/PALS as appropriate and active RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice as an RN.
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as applicable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status according to policies for cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and other systems.
• Interpret monitor data and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop and implement an individualized care plan.
• Administer medications safely using the eight rights of medication administration.
• Provide nursing and monitoring during care and transfer information; hand off details accurately.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in quality improvement.
